Original series

Care Bears Family TV series

When the Caring Meter breaks down one day, Brave Heart Lion, Baby Hugs and Baby Tugs have nothing to do but wait for Bright Heart Raccoon to show up and fix it. However, they get an unexpected visitor in the form of Songfellow Strum, a magical minstrel who regales them with a song to lighten their mood before offering them a ride on his train. Traveling to Songland, he continues to play tunes for the trio while transporting them to various appropriate locations, such as Old McDonald's Farm. After a day of song and dance, he takes them home where they discover that the meter is now fixed, with Tugs guessing that their new-found happiness must have fixed it. Later, Strum makes a concert appearance in Care-a-Lot, which even Shreeky and Mr. Beastly attend. During the show, he transports audience members on stage to take part in the performance, including Brave Heart Lion during "Humpty Dumpty", Hugs and Tugs in "Jack and Jill", and Beastly in both "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "I've Been Working on the Railroad".
