Sea Friend Bear, also known as Ocean Friend Bear on their toy packaging in Australia, is a toy-exclusive Care Bear who debuted in the 1980s as a joint effort between Tonka and the international World Wildlife Fund.

They have sea blue fur and their Belly badge depicts an ocean wave in front of a smiling sun, and was marketed and sold exclusively in the UK and Australia.
Personality[]
Like their pal Forest Friend Bear, Sea Friend Bear is committed to nature. Specifically the part that makes up 70% of the Earth's surface. Like their name suggests, this wet and wild bear loves the water and everything in it, and has made it their goal in life to make sure our lakes, oceans, waterways, and everything that that lives in them remain safe.

Sea Friend Bear was only available as a mid-1980's limited release UK and Australia exclusive 13" plush toy. Due to its rarity and relatively short shelf life, it remains a popular item for collectors.
Care Bears: Unlock the Magic[]
After almost an absence of almost four decades, Sea Friend Bear made their grand return on March 15, 2022 as part of I Care Bear's official announcement. The character was turned from a male into a female in this incarnation. Their belly badge was also slightly altered to a rising sun behind the ocean, and also wears a star accessory on their right ear.
