Forest Friend Bear is a toy-exclusive Care Bear who was born of a joint effort between American toy company Tonka and the international World Wildlife Fund to promote woodlands conversation. He was marketed and sold only in British and Australian markets.
Profile[]
Appearance[]
Forest Friend Bear has pastel orange fur and his Belly badge depicts a brown bear and white rabbit in front of a pair of trees.
Personality[]
Dedicated to preserving nature and its inhabitants, Forest Friend Bear spreads awareness of woodlands destruction and deforestation to make sure the world remains green for generations to come. While it might be easy to pin him as a simple "tree hugger", Forest Friend is a bear with a mission, and like his buddies Sea Friend Bear and I Care Bear, he strives to make the world a more livable place for everyone, bear, bunny or otherwise.
Appearances[]
Original Series[]
Forest Friend Bear was only available as a mid-1980's limited release UK and Australia exclusive 13" plush toy. Due to its rarity and relatively short shelf life, it remains a popular item for collectors.
Care Bears: Unlock the Magic[]
After almost an absence of almost four decades, Forest Friend Bear made his grand return on March 15, 2022 as part of I Care Bear's official announcement. His Belly Badge is slightly altered this time round, with the two trees replaced with a simple green double-layer Heart, alongside the addition of a neckerchief.
