Wendy is a supporting character who appeared in the 15th episode of DiC's Care Bears TV series, "The Magic Shop". When a new magic shop opens in town, she is given a job working there after school, but it turns out that it's owner, Professor Coldheart, has a few dastardly tricks up his sleeve. Things get worse when her two friends, Jeff and Linda cause trouble with his latest invention.

Wendy gets a job working for the seemingly good-natured Professor Coldheart at his new magic shop after school, but things quickly go sour when her friends Jeff and Linda steal one of his new devices, the Un-Feeling Ray, and begin to use it on people all over town. Noticing how people are behaving strangely, she soon learns that her friends are the root of the problem, and also finds out that Coldheart's shop was just a front to create even more devices that would leave everyone "un-caring".
Tenderheart Bear, Cheer Bear, Funshine Bear, and Love-a-Lot Bear attempt to convince everyone that Coldheart is up to no good, but their lack of feelings leaves them indifferent to their pleas. Using a Care Bear Stare to turn them back to normal, Coldheart attempts to use the ray on the bears themselves but is stopped by Wendy who throws a wizard's cap full of fireworks at him as a distraction. The bears fire yet another stare that transforms the magic shop into a flower shop as the villain retreats. The Magic Shop
